AMAZING ANTIQUE sHaBbY CEDAR CHEST TRUNK!!!~WOW!!GREAT AS A BLANKET CHEST, HOPE CHEST or COFFEE TABLE   THIS BREATHTAKING ANTIQUE TRUNK CAN BE USED AS MANY DIFFERENT PIECES OF FURNITURE.  SHE IS PERFECT FOR ANY ROOM IN YOUR PARIS APARTMENT, FRENCH COUNTRY, VICTORIAN, BEACH COTTAGE or OTHER SHABBY CHIC HOME!   I LOVE this piece!  This is the most unique and awesome cedar trunk I think I've EVER come across.  Wow!  This trunk is in gredat condition for her considerable old age.  I'm thinking she very easily could be from the 1800's ~ possibly earlier.  The cedar interior looks nice, has a few old age stains.  We renewed the cedar aroma by sanding it a little and rubbing down with some yummy cedar oil.   We custom refinished and handpainted the trunk in our blended Cottage White paint.  Distressed to accent the delicious old dark wood and black underneath.  The lock does not work and the lid does not have a "receiver plate" for the lock ~ the trunk is safe and will not lock when closed.   This fabulous cedar trunk will add interest, color and "inherited" architectural charm to any room.  Totally aWeSomE ~ You'll love her as much as I do!!  Guaranteed To Be Loved!!   This old chest is made of solid wood ~ is sound, sturdy and heavy. She has typical age consistent dents and dings here & there, some old texturing within the filigree area, a few chunks of missing wood (see photos) and one of the colums is missing most of its back side (see photo).  The lid fits snuggly to the trunk and the lid opens & closes easily.  The back side has a couple of spots of peeled paint.  The trunk also appears to have a few old repairs ~ they were very well done.  Every inch of this has been checked over and is fully intact! The old wheels shown are not included, however, we'll provide a new set of reproduction wood wheels for FREE.  I do LOVE the extra charm these wheels give antique furniture! Our refinishing process includes a thorough quality check, cleaning and making any repairs or improvements and that there are no flaws unless otherwise noted.  We also only use USA made water based lead-free paints.  We maintain professional quality in every aspect of our product selection, refinishing, customer service and shipping.
