Uncertain its use. This item is used to demonstrate to the prospective buyer what the Filter Queen is picking up without having to open the unit or replace filter cones. It uses small circular disks made of the same material as the filter cones and attaches between the hose and the canister! How the customer retained this device is uncertain, as it is only for demo purposes and serves no use to the customer (unless they wanted to show off the machine to their friends, lol).
