Good five star ratings help sellers keep prices down because ebay offers us discounts, in return I have lowered my prices/handling fee/shipping. My stars are the lowest on shipping/handling/shipping time. I feel this is mainly reflected from buyers of my cages. Please notice at the bottom of the page I state that I will ship within five business days. Sometimes I get them out sooner 2-3 days, but I have young children and depending on our schedules, there are some days that are very busy and don't allow for the time needed to get the cage ready to package, etc.  Most of the time I have to make a box to fit your cage and this takes time, plus a lot of tape!  If your cage arrives damaged and is insured, please let me know and I will help you file a claim. Also please do not hold it against me if the post office or Fed Ex damages the cage. This does not happen very often, but it can and does happen. From my experience of filing claims, both shippers are very cooperative in paying.  As for shipping charges, every year the rates go up. The shipping rate for some of the cages is based on measurements, not so much weight.  When they exceed so many inches they are automatically thrown into a different catagory regardless of the weight, because they are considered oversized. So please don't think I'm pocketing a fortune off these shipping charges.  The closer you live to Ky to cheaper the shipping should be.  If you can have your cage shipped to a "business", I might be able to get you an even cheaper rate than quoted for UPS/FedEx, just send me the zip code and I will let you know.   If you are buying more than one cage I must figure the combined shipping.  I will not honor ebay’s combined shipping rate for cages because it is not correct. This is a new design - Split Level  These additions are sooooo neat!  You will love it and your pet will too!! Made of 1/2" x 1" welded wire.  The cages are made of 16 gauge welded wire and will last a very long time if not left outside to rust!  This unit sets directly on top of a 20 gallon Long aquarium.  No assembly required. There is a long ramp going up to the first level.  And a shorter ramp going up to the top floor.  This design is a split level allowing room for an exercise wheel.  A large door on the front will give you access to place your wheel inside and also for feeding, etc. I use very strong door latches. There is no way your pet will escape this cage unless you leave the door open.  Plus your critter will be safe from your cat or dog too!! I know the plastic cages are cute, but this is the most functional unit I have found for hamsters, mice, rats, gerbils, etc.  We have raised hamsters, gerbils and mice using these.  Its really nice cause they have their babies in the aquarium, usingthe bedding of your choice.  By the time the babies are old enough to venture out for food on their own, they are large enough so they won't be able to get through the 1/2" x 1" wire.  I know for sure this is true on hamsters and gerbils, but I can't guarantee it on mice. Grown mice cannot get through the wire. The ramps are made of 1/2" x 1" welded wire, just like the cage.  They have plastic door guard on the edges. The wire cage  measures 13" x 30 1/2" x 14" tall.  2" is used for overlapping the outside of the aquarium. It sets directly on top of the aquarium. This makes for 6" above and below the shelf and 12" tall open area for the wheel or hammock. You can let me know if you need a certain size door to accomodate your wheel. I have even put bedding material upstairs on the top floor and its fun to watch them carry it all the way downstairs to make their bed!! This cage is brand new never used.   There is hard plastic door guard around the raw edges to prevent you from getting scratched and also prevent your pet from getting scratched.   I think you will be very pleased.  This cage was designed by an experienced pet owner.  It is put together with Jclips and is completely ready to use when you receive it.  No assembly upon arrival. ****Aquarium is NOT Included****** Door guard comes in Navy and Red, Black or Light Gray, please specify color.
