Mature dried fruits with touch of eucalyptus and leather (like the 1979). Soft and supple on the medium-bodied palate.  This bottle was purchased by a family friend in 1963 and kept in a cellar since then. I was given this bottle last summer, and it was immediately put in a wine refrigerator once in the United States. The label was only recently damaged. As in many French collection cellars, the bottle had little contact and the label became brittle. The packaging material I used had a small amount of adhesive residue, which unfortunately damaged the label.  The bottle itself is in excellent condition. There are no signs of oxidation or cork failure.  Regarding the price. When I was given this wine, I looked up its value. The only place that still had a bottle of this was a London dealer, selling it for 900L (roughly $1800). My reserve is below that. Since then, that bottle has been bought.  This is a once in a lifetime opportunity (there are quite literally only a handful of these bottles left in the world).
