Description
Hello, and thanks for stopping by to look at this Gorgeous own root rose! This is CANDLELIGHT, a 1982 HT rose from Jack Christensen. Why this rose is already extinct commercially is beyond my feeble mental capacity. The blooms are an incredible deep yellow, with pink edging as the bloom ages. The diameter of the blooms are an amazing 5 inches, and it does have a nice, although not strong, fragrance. Blooms are solitary, and believe it or not, this is considered a perpetual bloomer, meaning it always is in blooms (always might be too strong). It also seems to be very good regarding Black Spot. Now, I can tell you that this rose is listed as available via a rose nursery in Canada, but although they say they have it, I gave up after 4 years of waiting. This definitely is your best chance at acquiring this beautiful HT rose. More about this rose; ARS Reg: Deep yellow Hybrid Tea.Registration name: AROwedyeExhibition name: Candlelight ™ Origin: Bred in United States (1982) by Jack E. Christensen. Bred in United States (1982) by Herbert C. Swim. Class: Hybrid Tea / Large-Flowered. Bloom: Deep yellow, pink edges. Mild fragrance. Average diameter 5". Very large, full (26-40 petals), borne mostly solitary, high-centered, spiral centers bloom form. Prolific, continuous (perpetual) bloom throughout the season. Habit: Tall, bushy, upright, well-branched growth habit. Large, semi-glossy foliage. The rose you see here is the rose you are bidding on. I have a small licensed nursery located in Michigan. I typically sell my roses at farm markets in the area, but I have been inundated with emails asking me to sell more here. Most of the roses I sell are nearly, if not impossible to attain elsewhere, so if this rose appeals to you, be sure to place a bid. All of my plants are certified by the state as being free from virus. Due to Michigan restrictions, I cannot ship to CA, AZ, OR or WA unless we discuss prior to you bidding (small, extra cost). Plants will be shipped potless, with very little soil and shipped via USPS Priority mail. I will also combine shipping if you purchase any of my other roses listed here. Once last item; Please be sure when bidding for roses that you are getting what you bid on. All roses should be researched before placing a bid. The ABSOLUTE BEST website for information on any rose is "HELP ME FIND ROSES". I am including the link to CANDLELIGHT on HMFR here; http://www.helpmefind.com/plant/pl.php?l=2.18260&n=13569&tab=1
