Quilt top was put together with a sewing machine but all appliques, quilting, and actual assembly of  quilt top, batting, back and binding was sewn by hand. This beautiful quilt measures 81 x 94 inches and is made up of 20 cream colored blocks bordered with rich purple and red cotton fabric. All fabric material is cotton with the exception of the batting. This quilt was painstakingly put together by the ladies' of a senior organization and auctioned off as a fund raiser, making over a $1000.00 for their organization. It's a cover with a history and a real prize for any Red-Hatter. It comes from a smoking house, tho its never been used or displayed. The only time it has been out is to take pictures of it.
