Every system we package and then provide have all the components necessary to install a fully functioning exterior lighting system as would be done by our professional lighting team. Our packages include the following high quality features: High Efficiency Transformers We include in our lighting packages only all stainless steel fully potted UL listed multi-tap toroidal design transformers with ultra-safe isolated secondary winding, including secondary magnetic circuit breakers (in contrast with inferior slow-blow replaceable buss fuses or fault prone thermal resets as circuit breakers). Transformer windings and housings carry a lifetime warranty by top US based manufacturers. All other internal electrical components are warranted for three years. For transformer control, we provide use at minimum heavy duty mechanical timers or optional digital timers with battery backup, or mechanical timer-photocell combinations, or remote personal computer based systems from X10 or INSTEON. Precise Voltage Control The provided lighting system has the ability to be adjusted to specifically deliver between 10.9 to 11.8 volts at each lamp. This adjustment is critical to insure correct lamp operation, color, and long life. In addition, correct voltage results in lamps producing its rated high color temperature (i.e. whiteness close to daylight). This is important since foliage illuminated by such lamps look healthy as they should—not sickly or ash colored. Marine Quality Wiring Only high quality marine grade “No-Ox” tin coated field and fixture wires (copper only wire oxidizes over time and electrical resistance increases as it ages) is provided with our packages. All fixtures contain crimped and soldered wire connections to lamps and wire runs terminate at protected “Spider Splice Junctions”—a CAST Lighting patented component—which minimizes the chance of splice point failures (an all too common problem performed by the uninformed installer). Solid/Heavy Brass and Copper Fixtures All fixtures included in our packages are extremely durable, solid brass and/or heavy gauge copper from industry recognized top manufactures. They carry lifetime warranty on body and a three-year warranty on internal components from these manufacturers. Because of the natural beauty of Brass and Copper fixtures we provide, they have no paint or exterior surface coatings. Unlike polyester powder-coated aluminum products common in the market, solid brass has no cosmetic plastic coatings that will ultimately chip, bubble and fade over time.
