Even stranger, when you touch the Alda lamp, it makes a series of different noises. The lamps are a typically idiosyncratic creation by Italian lamp designer Gaetano Pesce, whose work in painting, sculpture, film, theatre, design and architecture includes the iconic "UP" series he designed for B&B Italia.
