This kit includes a hand painted, recycled pot, seeds, peat pellets, fertilizer, soil and step by step instructions. Everything you need to plant and grow your salad in a pot.. With the  high cost of food and gas and the threat of so many dyes and chemicals in our food this is a good time to introduce your children  to growing their own  healthy food. By growing your own vegetables , everything seems to taste better. I am a retired Elementary teacher with over 38 years of experience.  There are many educational reasons your children should grow a garden;  It teaches them about life cycles, sequence,cause and effect, observation, and recording data.  Above all, it teaches them patience.! No matter what kind of learner your children are :auditory, visual or kinesthetic they will still enjoy playing in the dirt and watching for that first little green sprouts, seedlings, and plants.  Imagine their excitement when they see the first small vegetable! However, just like Mother Nature I can't guarantee every seed will grow.They do need water and light but your children will enjoy watching the carrots,radish, lettuce or peas grow.  They may even learn to like vegetables! These pots are each individually painted and sealed so that you can plant organic vegetables.  I can even personalize the pot by writing your child's name on it.
