I have carved many spoons over my life time but this is only the 3rd spoon that I ever carved that a heart appeared on and this is the most perfect heart that has ever showed up on a wooden spoon that I have carved.   The spoon is about 20 inches long and was made to use so it has been finished with mineral oil only.   The bowl is about 2 -1/2 inches wide about 1 -1/2 inches deep and about 4 -1/2 inches long.   I was told by an old spoon maker when I was 17 that when a heart showed up on a wooden spoon that it was a Love Spoon. Any couple who used this spoon to serve their first meal together would live a very long happy and argument free life together.   Now I don't know if that is true or not.   I know I'm asking a lot of money for this spoon but I don't really care if I sell it or not.
