I am not an expert on this subject. I was told by the previous owner it was cherry wood, and he bought it new in the mid 1950s. this was an estate sale and was moving and down sizing so here they are. Condition. Fantastic. No cracking or any other damage a few little dings thats normal for furniture this age. Only a few lite scratches and what looks to be small depressions 1/4"round X 3/16" deep on the top of the lady's dresser where it looks were the mirror was sitting, witch i do not have.I have it covered with my wifes makeup mirror. {The marks in the photos are flash glare and are not marks in the wood} Both are marked on the rear, 5012.The mens, photo 6 has # 4 stamped the womans has # 1 stamped I see no other marking other than the heritage marks inside the drawers. Both have tray inserts inside. Mens measures 52" in height at the bottom and decreases by 1" at the top section x 35.50" in lenght x 21" in depth. Womans, 60" in length x 33" in height x 23" in depth. the style of the drawers i am not sure of the true name is. I have seen the bow front drawers, but none like these, bows outwards and inwards like a serpentine or wave shape.Mens has eight drawers, womans has twelve of course!
