All made in Germany. I had got 2 saws for a big job that didn't end up happening and held onto the saws thinking a job would come by that I could use it on. Well 3 months later Ifelt that if I had not used it and got away using my other smaller saws I might as well sell this one. I sold the other one and now I think this one should go too.The saw was only test run at my Stihl dealer when I bought it and has not been used since. It is in perfect shape. It has a Stihl chain and bar on the saw and it is new. This is a "yellow" bar and chain not a "green" consumer low kickback chain. This chain is for experienced people. The bar is a Rollomatic E Super not a standard bar. This is a heavy duty bar with a replacable sprocket nose. This is not a 044. That is an old saw. This is one of the newest models from Stihl. This is the next generation of the MS440 better filtration system, less vibration, slightly more power. The largest bar reccomended for this saw is a 32" the next one down is the 28" that this saw has. You could go down to a 16" but why? Yes this is a professional use saw..
