It is very sculptural and look great bare, tho we have morning glories planted around our trellises, It looks absolutely wonderful when the vines are blooming! It is made out of 1/2" steel tubing and they are 38" tall and is unpainted and will oxidize for the rusty red natural finish which looks so good with an Oriental garden or you can paint it for a more formal look. They are very strong and will last for years, which you cannot say about many of the plastic and wire trellises being sold in garden shops.
