These traditional Greek olives are purple/black with shiny skin and a mildly bitter flavor. These fully ripe, dark purple olives have been prepared using an all natural gradual process of fermentation in brine, known as the Greek method, that takes six months. No chemicals or Lye is used in this process. Calamata olives are imported from Greece and are an essential part of any Greek salad. They also go especially well with feta cheese or any of your other favorite table cheeses, salamis, and other antipasta!These wonderful olives are packed by Krinos in heavy plastic, pillow pack style bags. They are packed in brine and olive oil which is sufficient to preserve them in transit. We work closely with the Importer of these olives, so our olives are always as fresh as they could possibly be.
