Easy Cleaning instructions: The flowers are easily cleaned by rinsing with hot water and running a pipe cleaner through the hole. Your feeder should be rinsed out with hot water each time you fill your feeder with fresh nectar, at least weekly, more often (every few days) in hot weather. Use the included brush to help clean the inside. If you do this on a regular basis you should not have a problem with mold inside your feeder. If you see black spots inside your feeder this is mold. Scrub the feeder carefully with your brush. If this doesn't completely remove the mold add some sand to your feeder with water and shake the feeder to remove the mold. Other methods are to fill the feeder with vinegar and uncooked rice and shake vigorously, or soak the feeder in a solution of 2 ounces household bleach mixed with one gallon of water. Always rinse all parts of the feeder well after cleaning.
