Clusters of abundant blooms are of a strong, sweet fragrance, fruity scented, appear concurrently from spring throughout summer, into fall, color of flowers darken with age.    A vigorous, upright bushy shrub with glossy mid-green, very disease resistant foliage, this free-flowering China grows from 3 to 5 feet in height, 3 feet in width, hardy from zones 7 through 11. Often confused with Cramoisi Superieur, a fine China,  this one is more compact, flower has paler center instead of white streaks. Louis Philippe is extremely hardy in heat, humidity,  poor soils, parents unknown.    My large plant was about 4 by 3, trimmed 2 times a year, bloomed constantly in our hot summer when others were not with abundant, bright blooms. This plant up for bid is a nicely rooted, branched plant, growing organically in a gallon container,  2 years from an own root cutting. It may be repotted in a larger container for later planting, or planted in a bed where it will produce fast with warmth. I ship out of the container with damp cypress mulch wrapped around its roots, root stimulant added for protection, usps priority mail, or ups that takes 2 to 4 days for a safe arrival.
