It is set up with single phase, 110V motor, on the spindle, attached to a forward/reverse drum switch. There is a second motor and pulley support system to drive the tailstock spindle for high speed contra-rotating drilling. The tailstock component for this style of drilling is not present. The lathe was just painted with urethane based enamel and SS grills added to replace those missing from the side cut-outs, in the base. We feel this is a Schaublin lathe but the former owner told us it was a Japanese copy of a Schaublin. Through all of the paint and prep we never found a single mark, other then the number in the photo, to indicate the lathe's origin. The feed screws are in good condition with minimal wear and the whole lathe is really NICE!. We feel the paint has added a significant appeal, while no exactly the right color, several of those guys affected by machinery lust have complimented us on the selection. Delivery: Free local P-U, local delivery at $2.00/mile. We are headed for Hershey, PA in about a month and can deliver this along the way. Currently we have only one drop and that is in Kansas City. Inquire. Several components of this lathe system are awaiting paint or plating. They may not be pictured but are mentioned in the test. We ship to the USA only. That means we are shipping at the lowest rates UPS offers. If we ship to a stand alone business the UPS rate is usually $2.00 less. If your business has a separate driveway entrance from any residence; state that and request the B to B rate. USPS will no longer pick up parcels over 1#, at our office, so we are dropping or seriously reducing use of Priority Mail. We do ship small items and books via PP to save you money but you can expect a long wait for them to arrive as we can't go to the PO everyday and often don't go for a week or two. Our local Post Office requires a 15 minute trip each way and at least a 30 minute wait in line. Insurance!!! UPS insures parcels to $100. automatically and charges $.35/$100. after that. The USPS does not automatically insure and we ship f.o.b. CM,CA. That means we will place the item on the carrier and after that we are not responsible for its delivery. If you don't ask for insurance then you are self insuring. Since we only only have a problem about once every 3-400 shipments I think self insuring is pretty economical. If you want insurance we must ship via UPS. If you have an unblemished feedback rating with over 25 positive points we do accept personal checks on auctions up to about $100. We try to ship same day as payment arrives. CA residents must pay sales tax on our commercial auctions. If your item is in the 150 pound or higher range we are currently using Yellow Transportation, a nationwide LTL carrier, or Premier Transportation a specialized machinery mover.
