Description
Nature’s Approved® SOAPER’S DELIGHT™ 100% Virgin Organic Coconut Oil One Gallon This soap grade Nature’s Approved® Soaper’s Delight™ Coconut Oil is cold-pressed 100% Extra Virgin Organic Coconut Oil from Fiji for soap only (not for food). This unrefined oil contains no GMOs, no additives and no preservatives. Coconut Oil is the most popular backbone of many soap-maker’s recipes. 10% coconut oil soap noticeably improves lather, and 100% is the only soap know to lather in salt water—ideal for tropical bathing and yet natural. Coconut oil is a natural moisturizer and skin conditioner: it hydrates the skin superbly and leaves protective coconut oil on your skin. It can also improve skin tone and complexion and prevent premature wrinkles. If you make your soap with ‘extra’ coconut oil so that it is “super-fatted” as this extra provides the skin care. Soap made from Nature’s Approved® Soaper’s Delight™ Coconut Oil produces a rich lather with snowy, white bubbles that clean and moisturize naturally, leaving your skin soft, smooth and protected. Your skin benefits from the natural properties of Coconut Oil, including antibacterial and antiviral properties. Our Organic Coconut Oil is furthermore produced is “green-processed” at a coconut plantation in the pure land and air of Fiji, where the fuel they use is renewable and sustainable. They use coconut husks and shells and old coconut trees burnt in a boiler to run a steam engine to drive a generator which provides power and light to the factory and the workers homes…so it is green farmed and green processed…double green. This oil is not for consumption. GREEN processing with renewable fuel of Nature’s Approved Coconut Oil On the slopes of an old inactive volcano on one of the 345 beautiful islands in Fiji, with tropical plants everywhere and a great view of the sea, careful waste avoidance, use of renewable fuel and a green operations have long been the rule. Coconut husks and shells and old coconut trees fuel the boiler….that produces the steam…. that runs the steam engine…. that drives the generator…. that provides power for the coconut oil press, machinery and lights for the factory and worker’s homes. Large quantities of diesel fuel would have had to be burnt to substitute. In 1961 the owner of the coconut plantation where our oil is produced, had a steam engine made to drawings and design of a steam engine which had been first built in 1895. This steam engine is used to drive the electric generator to produce power to run the oil press and other machinery and to provide light to the house and workers houses--energy production and recycling at its best. The fuel they use is some of the old coconut trees and all the coconut husks and shells from the coconuts that are opened for copra (copra is the dried meat or kernel of the coconut ..dried in warm air, then crushed in the press for its oil). This was done to reduce the consumption of diesel fuel in the diesel engine they had previously used to run the generator. Old technology is here the most appropriate technology to take advantage of the reusable fuel. Their carbon footprint is very small for each ton of oil produced. Diesel is only used in the tractors and trucks. The old unproductive trees (often 70 years old and 80 ft high) are replaced in a cycle of 30 acres at a time (of the 1100 acre plantation) with new trees and coconuts growing again and taking up carbon dioxide from the air. The carbon is recycled. The cost of diesel there today is 16 times as great as it was in 1961 and the wisdom to their use of renewable fuel has paid off in a huge reduction in expenditure on diesel. Five years ago the plantation was certified organic to USDA. The owner is 80 now and his two sons do much of the work on the plantation today and continue the pattern and cycles of green technology. This same coconut oil is used in the Natures Approved® organic soap produced on Fiji so we have the major component, the organic coconut oil in the soap, produced with green methods. You can chose "green" extra virgin organic coconut oil and organic soap from Nature’s Approved® and help expand their operation and reward their efforts. __________________________________________________ For bulk oil purchases of drums and any other large orders, please go to www.AssuredOrganics.com Private label available Assured Organics & Nature's Approved17 Hillcrest View, Hartsdale, New York, N.
