This site analysis consists of 1) a visual and photographic evaluation of the site for at least 2 possible solar panel and 1 wind power installation sites 2) Determination of expected sun hours and thus power generation potential at your site on a monthly basis, taking into account shading of the panels from sun blockers (trees, buildings, mountains, etc) 3) graphical measurement of solar output reaching property in watt/sq m (industry standard measurement of solar power potential) and wind speed present on the property in average miles/hour. Data is stored as an average value every minute 4) a written report with the site photos, the best site for solar installation and whether wind is a possible option. This report also contains recommendations on where to mount the solar panels, total watts of solar panels, size and type of inverter system required and backup power options along will other hardware to make a complete system. 5) you have the option (price $100) of keeping the recording weather station at your property for 30 days to get a detailed analysis of your solar and wind power potential (Note this requires a deposit of $900 for the recording weather package, refunded upon return of the unit in the same condition it was left with you). You can also purchase a new unit and have it installed at the property before I come to have historical data and a great full featured wireless weather station (see my other auctions). 6) A copy of the SEI "Photovoltaics Design and Installation and my solar/wind/hydro catalog. Roof measurement if mounting on the roof is an option. The sites will be visually inspected and photographed. The analysis of each site will include a report of the power production potential of each site using the Solmetric SolarEye (positive GPS location of the sites) site evaluation tool and software.Upon arrival I will install a full featured weather station that has 1 minute averaged interval recording of solar power reaching the measuring station. This weather station records average data once per minute for the time I am on site. This unit measures the watts/sq. m of power striking the meter. This can be used to determine how well your system might perform on a daily basis. I recommend that you keep this unit at your home for 30 days to give a good historical representation of your solar potential, the additional cost of this equipment loan is $100. For 30 days of recording, a PC would be best to get the highest detail information. If you elect that option I will require a $900 deposit on the weather station plus the additional $100. Some do, some don't. The purpose of this analysis is to determine if you have a suitable site for wind power generation. If you have a suitable site then we take the wind speed information provided by the wind speed data recorder portion of the weather station. That data is recorded every minute as an average value over that minute, but only while I am on site. It would be much more valuable if you took advantage of the 30 day on site option as described in the solar siting analysis.Wind analysis will take the wind speed information recorded by the weather station to determine the size and type of wind turbine your site could support. Since wind is something that definately varies both over time and season, if you are really serious about wind I suggest you purchase the weather station.
