The plant is about 2 feet tall, 1-2 years old, branched and has flowered this year.   Sophy is a shrub rose bearing very double red to reddish pink flowers. Blooms from spring until fall with flowers appearing in clusters and one to a stem. In hot weather the flowers appear more hot-pink with red tones.   Disease resistant, foliage is medium green and reaches up to 4 feet tall with a spread of up to 3 feet in a short bushy habit. Flowers are slightly fragrant and can have up to 90 petals each.  Will set hips, remove old flowers to encourage more blooms.   Heat tolerant and hardy in zones 5-9, protection is recommended in colder areas the first winter or over-wintered as a container plant.   Growing in a container but it will be shipped in a soil-root ball to cut shipping cost.  Shipped USPS prority mail.   Photo is of a four year old bush.   Last one available this season.     Place a Bid!
