Description
Tiffany Reproduction Stained Glass Style Table Lamp – Butterflies on SOLID BRONZE Daffodil 3 Legged Base Tiffany Style stained glass lamp with Floral Nature Design of Butterflies. The shade is 20 inches in diameter – full height of lamp at 28 inches. The Floral Mosaic  Daffodil base is solid bronze (with Mosaic inlay tiles -weighs approximately 40 lbs) with 3 light sockets for up to 3 sixty watt bulbs.  Turn switch on cord for on/off.  Shade has metal arms that extend from bottom of shade with sits on a bronze ring on the base - may need slight adjustment after shipping. This lamp is in EXCELLENT condition – no cracks or repairs – approximately 2 years old.  This lamp is made from hand rolled American art glass, from known quality artisan foundries such as Uroboros, Bullseye, Oceana. Quality lamps, like originals, have heavy bases made of bronze and created by the lost-wax method. You should be aware that there are sellers on eBay who aren't educated on what a solid bronze lamp base is.    They claim their bases are 'bronze' when, in fact, they just have a 'bronze' painted finish on them and are often made of resin and/or pot (white) metal.  I know this by personal experience in buying from some sellers.   You can tell a base is bronze by scraping off a small amount of the patina finish on the bottom side of the lamp (down to the metal where it won't be viewable when standing upright) -- if the color you see is silver or pewter in color, you don't have a bronze base -- most likely zinc or pot metal.   Bronze and brass bases will have light yellow to gold look in the metal when you scrape a bit of the patina off.   Bronze bases are more durable thus are more expensive and stand the test of time.    I have been collecting and researching lamps for 9 years. The likeness in coloring and design to the originals amazes me. I only have 1 of these and will not be placing future orders, so contact me with any questions you have about this auction BEFORE bidding and GOOD LUCK thanks for looking! Please contact seller within 3 days to confirm shipping address and payment preference.
