This is a Lathe turned Wood Bowl Signed by the Artist. It's Body is made of a very hard to work with Timber Strand.  At first glance looks as if the bowl is unraveling but it is a distinct look of the Timber Strand. The Beautiful Center bottom of the bowl is American Walnut Burl.  The darkest of the stripes of the bowl is Purple Hheart, a difficult wood to work with, so I've been told.  It makes up the dark stripes and the four dot patterns through out the bowl. The light amber red stripes and one dot patterns are made up of Cherry Chotacote. The circle patterns are Purple Heart and Cherry Chotacote. The rim is made up of pieces of the same two woods pieced together. The artist has signed the bottom of the bowl. If any questions please email me, and thanks for looking.
