This is one of the most efficient stoves available. It is air tight and has a thermostadt which will automatically control the air inlet to the stove so you maintain temperature and don't waste wood. This stove was used more for decoration and got very little use. The stove was used for the holidays. Now we are in a new house and there isn't a place to put the stove. The stove comes with side mounted warming trays. These are removable should you not want them. The doors have glass in them so you can see the fire.Top loading makes it easy to add wood. Just lift the top hinged door and drop in the wood. There is no need to fight with the fire as you do with front loading stoves.
