Description
Hello, and thanks for stopping by to look at this Gorgeous own root rose! This is TANallepa, aka ACAPELLA, an exhibition HT rose bred in 1994 from Tantau in Germany. This rose is one of the few roses to win both the Le Roeulx Fragrance Award and the Le Roeulx Gold Medal, which signifies the top rose in the country of Belgium. TANallepa is one of the most popular HT's currently in Europe, but sadly, is not widely available here. This rose is my favorite, and has been since the first year I got it. As you can see from the pictures, it is a red blend with a white/silver reverse. The blooms are a perfect exhibition form, and guess what? It is absolutely stunningly fragrant (see above fragrance award)! This is a great rose for both northern and southern gardens. In the north, it is one of the few HT's I have that has very little cane dieback at all from the winter. It is also very disease resistant, especially in regards to Black Spot. More about this rose; ARS Reg: Red blend Hybrid Tea.Registration name: TANallepaExhibition name: Charlies Rose Origin: Bred in Germany (1994) by Hans Jürgen Evers (1940 - 2007).
