It is very unique and has a handle built into the wood on each side.The foil tag reads "Look For the Year Mark 1847 Rogers Bros. For 90 Years America's Finest Plate".The box measures 19 3/4" wide, 13 1/4" deep and 3 1/8" tall. (The measurements are on the outside). The lid has 12 double loops for knives and on the bottom is two rows with 20 places for flatware.The inside has no tears. The blue in the lid is faded around the loops. I couldn't find any actual stains on the bottom; just a little dust. The sides and edges are wood on the outside. I'm not sure what the textured material is on the outside. It does have some stains on the outside that may or may not come out with cleaning. Please view all the pictures. It's not perfect but good and solid and would be a wonderful presentation case for a set of antique silver flatware.Feel free to email any questions or comments.
