This piece is SIGNED, with the original metal maker's tag inside the drawer.  It was made by Brickwede Brothers "Better Built" Furniture (see close up of tag in last photo).  Brickwede Brothers was in Marietta, Ohio.  They started in business in 1853 making tea wagons and by the early 20th century were making full dining room sets and shipping them from coast to coast.  Their tea wagons were always their best known pieces, however.  Their furniture was known for quality and strong hand craftsmanship.  They were in business until 1959.   What a perfect piece of furniture to have during the holidays!  It can be used to serve your dinner ... but also can convert into an extra table if needed.  Or, if you live in a space challenged environment like a smaller apartment, you can serve from the kitchen and wheel this into the living room/dining area and quickly set it up for dining for four people!    It's made of beautiful walnut that has a rich patina and beautiful grain.  This piece is as attractive as it is practical.  It would make a terrific addition to your entertaining! Age (ca.) Early 20th century.  c1900-1930 Dimensions With the leaves down it measures 25-1/2" X 17" X 27-1/2" high.  With the leaves up it measures 25-1/2" X 42".   Condition Good original condition.  No damage or repairs.  A few minor character marks serve to verify vintage.  The wheels can be removed easily if you wish to make this a stationery table (although that will shorten it).  We will probably ship it with the wheels off (maybe tucked inside the drawer) but they can be put back into the legs quite easily.  . WINNING BIDDERS PLEASE NOTE Back to Top You will receive more than one email both from eBay and from Lennon Hall Antiques. The most important email will be your eBay invoice and you can click through on that to pay for your item. We reserve the right to void the auction if we don't receive payment in 10 days. SHIPPING DETAILS Back to Top Once you pay for your item it will be packed for shipping. The method of shipping depends on the size of your purchase. Most things are crated or boxed by our PROFESSIONAL SHIPPER. As a rule, you will receive an email from us or from iship.com with a tracking number. Small items are sent via USPS Priority Mail and should arrive in a few days. Medium size pieces (small pieces of furniture, etc.) are shipped by UPS; these items are generally custom boxed and typically arrive within a few days to a week. Large pieces of furniture are custom crated and shipped by our trucker, Arrow Express. Once the trucker picks up your item from us, it normally takes two to three weeks to arrive. However, many things can impact the time of a truck shipment so it can take as long as eight weeks, depending on your location.  About Shipping Costs: We are working very hard to keep shipping costs down but both USPS and UPS have raised their rates and the price of gas has skyrocketed, so truckers are all charging surcharges. We do not use Greyhound or any of the cut-rate shippers. We always combine shipping to discount multiple item purchases.   About LOCAL (NY tri-state area) shipments:  We always welcome pick ups and never charge for this service. Also, we have a local delivery service that can deliver up to five items for the same price, anywhere within the NY tri-state area.  If you are local, please ask for a price quote for this very affordable service. INSURANCE Back to Top We always include insurance in your shipping price. Antiques and vintage items are vulnerable to any aggressive handling so it's important they always be insured when shipping.  We value our products and are as upset as you are if anything gets damaged! In the unlikely event that your item does get damaged in shipment, it is always fully insured and we will work with you every step of the way to recover this insurance. Please let us know immediately if an item is damaged in shipment and please make sure to retain all your packing material.   INTERNATIONAL BIDDERS Back to Top We ship worldwide. If you are an international bidder and do not see the shipping calculator in the auction, please email for rates outside the U.S. Please note that international shipments can easily get lost or stolen so insurance is a MUST for international shipments. Further, in the event of a lost, stolen or damaged item, recovery of postal insurance can take up to one year. We cannot refund the cost of this item until we recover the cost from the carrier. Customs clearance charges are the responsibility of the purchaser. Canadian bidders: We welcome your business! We will make every effort to work with you to keep freight and customs costs down.    FREE scheduling, supersized images and templates.
