These used barrel heads are made of Solid Oak. The front has several different names of different barrel makers and marks on them. Some of the names are Seguin Moreau, Nadalie, Dunsmir, Bordeau, Tisdal, and some are plain.   The backs of the heads have wine stains which vary on each wine barrel head such as, some are darker burgandy or red stained and some have lighter stains. Also some are from white wine and you can not see the white stain, but rather the oak color. This head weighs approximately 6-8 lbs. Their approximate measurments are 1 inch thick and approx 22-24 across the head.  They are tung and groove style.  I tried to capture the beauty of this fine piece in the photo's, it did capture some of it but not fully. It would be the envy of any room or celler in your home or office. There is several different things you can use this for such as a wall fixture, a table tray, and even a clock.
