It takes 2 weeks to completely build a set of these gates. They come with 2" x 2" gateposts, all hinges and locking mechanisms are included. The wrought iron is solid bar 3/4" diameter, and the outer rim design is cast iron 1/2" diameter. The wrought iron gates that we build are not to be confused with the lightweight aluminium or cast iron gates on the market at the moment, which start to fall apart after 3-4 years of use. These gates are made in the traditional time honored method of heating iron bars, then twisting and beding until the desired effect is achieved, and they will last for generations of use. Of course they will need maintenance - paint touch ups and checking for rust spots - but essentially these gates are the real thing and are rarely built in the west nowadays as the cost would be too prohibitive. We build at our factory in Bali, and then ship directly to the customer. In most cases the shipping time is 5-6 weeks.
