For you history nuts, this machine was originally designed by Western, the snow plow people. Then Stow bought the roller line from Western in the ‘70s,  and built them here in Binghamton right up until 2000, when Multiquip bought them out and moved production to Boise, Idaho. What’s popular about this machine is its simple, bullet proof design, small size and real economy. Ours is about 4 years old and starting to show its age. But as you can see from the pictures, its still very functional. There’s some tears in the seat, and we had to weld new hinges on the chain drive cover. But the engine is strong, the transmission and drive sprokets are all in good shape and the rolls are still round. It might need a battery before too long, but you can always pull start it in a pinch. Here are the specs from Multiquip’s web-site.
