It plays after the call of cuckoo at the top of the hour and at the half hour while the mill wheel turns and the dancers rotate in a circle and around themselves. This clock has got a German mecanical 1 day REGULA movement, 3 weights  (pine cone sharpe), a Swiss musical movement and a sound shut off lever. Es handelt sich um Neuware und der Ladenpreis beträgt ca. 600 €. Wie alle echten Schwarzwalduhren ist auch diese komplett aus Holz, auch das Zifferblatt, die Zeiger, Zahlen und der Kuckuck, selbstverständlich handgeschnitzt und handbemalt. Das Dach hat einzeln aufgelegte Schindeln. Der Kuckuck ruft zur halben Stunde einmal, zur vollen Stunde die Anzahl der Stunden, während der Mann "Holz hackt". Nach dem Kuckucksruf spielt die Uhr abwechselnd eine der Melodien zur vollen und zur halben Stunde, während sich die Tänzer im Kreis und gleichzeitig um sich selbst drehen.
